Blue Cottage Tutoring offers individual reading tutoring in the Broome County, NY area. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham methods and have over twenty years of experience teaching all ages and abilities.
I offer one-hour individualized lessons once, twice, or three times a week.

I highly recommend Miss Amy and this program! Our journey started the summer before my niece entered 3rd grade. She had been struggling to decode even three letter words and that summer I came to understand she had a form of dyslexia. The first two years she really struggled with reading but Miss Amy was so patient with her and always thought of new ways or resources to help us along. Even the days she was frustrated and overwhelmed with reading, Miss Amy always knew what to say to help calm her down and keep moving her ahead. I am proud to say that this spring when A. graduated 5th grade she was not only reading at grade level but she scored well above average in reading and language on the state exam and slightly above average in language mechanics. That never could have been possible without Miss Amy and this amazing OG program. A. now feels confident in reading and has the tools to be successful. (Thank you Miss Amy for the past three years.
